IMIX Engage
Stories have the power to shift narratives, build empathy, and drive change — but sharing your story, especially with the media, can be complex and deeply personal. IMIX Engage is designed for people with lived or learnt experience of migration, as well as those with experience of other life-shaping journeys.
Trauma-informed and rooted in safeguarding, this course builds confidence, clarity, and resilience for those who want to share their experiences safely and on their own terms. Whether you’re speaking to a journalist, addressing a crowd, or telling your story online, you’ll learn how to do so with purpose and power.
-
You’ll learn how to:
- Understand what makes a good story — and why yours matters
- Decide if, when and how to speak to the media
- Use bridging techniques to stay in control during interviews
- Communicate your message clearly, confidently and safely
- Set boundaries and protect your wellbeing when sharing personal experiences
-
This course is for anyone who wants to use their story to inform, advocate, or inspire — without compromising their own safety or agency.
